What information do we provide with ABtest?

ABtest40 and ABtest42 allow the direct quantification of Aβ1-40 and Aβ1-42 peptides in blood, both of the fraction which is found free in plasma and those in the “pool” fractions of these peptides which are bound to other plasma components (lipids and proteins) and to blood cells (beta-amyloid (Aβ) POOL in blood).

At Araclon, we have scientific evidence which supports the existence of a relationship between levels of beta-amyloid peptides in blood (Aβ POOL) and the development of Alzheimer’s disease.
